Katherine Heigl recently spoke out about being raised living in "a White bubble." She also explains how this experience has affected her parenting of adoptees who are multi-racial. In an interview, she said in the past that when it comes to the color of her skin the issue isn't that important. But after speaking to her adopted sister from South Korea she realized just the way society views the children. "I asked Meg whether she felt different when she went out with us parents than when she went out alone. Meg replied "Oh sure! Every times!" It made me realize I had been so naive," Heigl said to Parents. According to the actor, she was furious. However, she wanted to channel this energy into helping her adopted girls. The couple, who are married to Josh Kelley and their son Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. 4 have been together for thirteen years. They have took in Nancy Leigh (age 12) from South Korea and Adalaide (age 8) with a black complexion in 2009.
