Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12 November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej / Now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first person in history to score a 10 for competing in the Olympics. Bela Karalyi came across Comaneci when she was six. Later, she would be Romania's gymnastics coach. The first time she competed at the national junior championships in 1969, finishing 13th. She won the competition in 1970. At her first international event in 1972, a pre-Olympic junior competition for communist-bloc nations she was awarded three gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1974 she was overall junior champion. When she competed for the first time in senior level, Lyudmila Turkishcheva from Russia took home five gold medals as well with one silver. She was the winner of the American Cup in New York City in 1976 and became the first woman to perform the backward double salto in a dismount from the uneven bars parallel to each other. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her career in the entertainment industry began during her teens, when she began performing as a figure skater with her younger twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the traveling entertainment shows that were known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was born on the 6th of September 1942 at Chicago Illinois US. Carol started her career in entertainment in her teens. At the age of a girl, she began performing as an ice skater with Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. They featured staged ice skating performance.
